A new episode of the Bring Back BlackBerry podcast just went live on YouTube!

We named this one after the epic series from Michael Fisher (aka MrMobile aka Captain2Phones) called When Phones Were Fun.

In this episode we reflect on the inaugural Bring Back BlackBerry launch event held in Brooklyn, catch up on QWERTY things, explore some of MrMobile’s recent adventures in the world of intentional tech and get his take on what an ideal non-boring phone would look and function like if he had his druthers in 2026.

BBBB Launch Party!

On Wednesday, October 8th we took a moment to make a moment and officially kick off the Bring Back BlackBerry campaign.

It’s always fun to get BlackBerry fans together in room - there’s just SO MUCH PASSION.

We also had team members present from other companies building in the intentional tech space, including Punkt, Minimal, SidePhone, Keyphone and Clicks. As we work to Bring Back BlackBerry, we’ve added a Projects page to the campaign website so you can see more of the builders who are working to fill in the void left by BlackBerry.

It’s been a wild ride these past few months since I first published the Bring Back BlackBerry manifesto.

Every day since I’ve been waking up to emails and DMs from BlackBerry fans, shareholders, industry veterans, investors and more, all eager to support our mission to bring a modern BlackBerry mobile solution to market.

The petition signups continue to climb daily and over 500,000 supporters are now following the @bringbackblackberry movement across Instagram, Facebook, and the petition/newsletter combined. It’s surreal. And it’s growing.

Today I’m excited to share we relaunched BringBackBlackBerry.com and are providing more context on what we’re aiming to accomplish — the why and how of it all, along with more info on how you can support the effort.
